A cassia shipment's paper trail starts long before the container does. By the time bark leaves Kerinci for our Medan facility, it has already been field-sorted once. What happens next is the part most buyers never see, and most of our paperwork exists so that they can.

At intake, every lot is moisture-tested and checked against the grade it was sold as. Once accepted, it's graded, packed to spec and staged with its certificate of analysis, phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin. Those documents travel with the shipment.

From our warehouse, the container moves to Belawan International Container Terminal (BICT), North Sumatra's main deep-water port, roughly 25km from Medan. From Belawan, routing to Europe typically transships through a regional hub (commonly Singapore or Port Klang) before the long-haul leg to Rotterdam, Hamburg or another European gateway port.

Transit from Belawan to Rotterdam generally takes 30 to 40 days, depending on the carrier's schedule and the wait at transshipment. When you order, we confirm that figure against the actual sailing schedule.
